In an outdoor ceremony, under sunny skies and streamed virtually, the Administration (Admin) Branch held a Change of Command ceremony on 30 June. 

The passing of command, presided over by the CFB Borden Commander, BGen Andrew Atherton was between the outgoing Commanding Officer (CO), LCol Charleen Coulbeck and the incoming, CO, LCol Steven Brown. Family, colleagues and other invited guests were in attendance. As well, as a full virtual audience was present as the ceremony was live streamed on Facebook due to COVID-19 concerns.

The outgoing CO, LCol Coulbeck has been in command for the past two years and has remembered her time fondly.

The incoming CO, originally from the area and with family nearby is also thrilled to be “home” and looks forward to his new challenge as CO.

Passation de commandement à la Branche des services de l’administration

Dans le cadre d’une cérémonie extérieure et diffusée en ligne, la Branche des services de l’administration a tenu une cérémonie de passation de commandement le 30 juin sous un ciel radieux. 

La passation de commandement, présidée par le commandant de la BFC Borden, le Bgén Andrew Atherton, a eu lieu entre le commandant sortant, le Lcol Charleen Coulbeck et le nouveau commandant, le Lcol Steven Brown. Les familles, les collègues et d’autres spectateurs invités ont assisté en personne à la cérémonie, qui a aussi été vue par le public en ligne, grâce à sa diffusion sur Facebook, en raison des contraintes liées à la COVID-19.

Le commandant sortant, le Lcol Coulbeck, qui commande la Branche depuis deux ans, garde un bon souvenir de son mandat.

Le nouveau commandant, originaire de la région, et possédant de la famille dans les environs, est heureux de revenir « à la maison » et a hâte de relever de nouveaux défis au poste de commandant.
