Peter Goorts, RP Ops Det (Borden)/Municipal Controls has put forward tireless efforts to lead WHMIS 2015 compliance within the Organization. Starting with Natural Resources and moving on to other shops, Peter worked to ensure that hazardous materials inventory, storage location and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information was accurate.
Peter linked up with the Base Environment Office to bring additional resources to the project which has resulted in the disposal and elimination of many hazardous products within the RP Ops Det (Borden) inventory, the improvement of housekeeping within the shops and the readily available SDS throughout the Organization.
For his diligence and dedication in improving the working environment within RP Ops Det (Borden), Mr Peter Goorts is awarded the 2019 CFB Borden EH&S Award.
Peter Goorts, Dét Ops Imm (Borden)/contrôles municipaux, a déployé des efforts inlassables pour diriger la conformité au SIMDUT 2015 au sein de l’organisation. En commençant par Ressources naturelles et en poursuivant dans d’autres ateliers, M. Goorts a travaillé pour assurer l’exactitude de l’information ayant trait aux stocks de matières dangereuses, aux lieux d’entreposage et aux fiches signalétiques (FS).
M. Goorts a établi des liens avec le Bureau de l’environnement de la Base afin d’obtenir des ressources supplémentaires pour le projet, ce qui a permis d’éliminer de nombreux produits dangereux des stocks du Dét Ops Imm (Borden), d’améliorer l’entretien des ateliers et de disposer des FS partout dans l’organisation.
Pour sa diligence et son dévouement en vue d’améliorer l’environnement de travail au sein du Dét Ops Imm (Borden), M. Peter Goorts se voit décerner le prix de SSE de 2019 de la BFC Borden.
