The age-old saying was proven true at Focus Community Development Centre in Angus on January 4 and 5, as dozens of people lined up with the hopes of getting a position behind the counter at Angus’ new Dairy Queen.
Veronica VanLeeuwen, Owner and Operator of the new restaurant, and General Manager, Sarah MacIsaac, set up tables looking to hire a whole crew- approximately 50 people. “Everybody loves Dairy Queen, and this has definitely been creating excitement. It’s nice to see how many new jobs we can provide in the community,” commented VanLeeuwen. She says that she hopes to see the doors open in early February, and urges everyone to be on the lookout for announcements on opening dates, and a grand opening celebration!
