Mr. Paul Daley received his certificate commemorating 35 years of service with the Government of Canada. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983 as a reserve infanteer, Paul completed a component transfer to the Regular Force in 1985 as a mobile support equipment operator. During his career, he was posted to Chilliwack, Calgary, Edmonton, Kingston, and Borden, as well as deployed to Kuwait in 1991 and Afghanistan in 2008.
In 2015, Paul’s desire to get back on the road pushed him towards accepting an offer to become a machine driver operator with Base Transportation at CFB Borden, where he could continue his dream to contribute and serve the DND. Paul pursued his passion to be out on the open road where his extensive expertise and experience helped to produce highly skilled operators for the CAF.
As a Master Driver, he is well known in the MSE Op community and per his request he received his 35-year service award from two of his former peers: Branch RSM, CWO Tremblay (left), and Transport CSM, MWO Feeney (right). Both presenters commented on how little he has aged after 35 years of service. His dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the CAF, DND, and the RCLS have been second to none. M. Paul Daley a reçu son certificat commémorant ses 35 ans de service pour le gouvernement du Canada. Paul s’enrôle dans les Forces armées canadiennes en 1983 avec l’Infanterie de la Réserve. Il obtient un transfert de catégorie de service à la Force régulière en 1985 à titre de conducteur de matériel mobile de soutien. Au cours de sa carrière, il est affecté à Chilliwack, à Calgary, à Edmonton, à Kingston et à Borden, puis il part en mission au Koweït en 1991 et en Afghanistan en 2008.
En 2015, Paul veut reprendre la route, ce qui l’amène à accepter l’offre de devenir conducteur-opérateur de machine au service de transport de la BFC Borden, où il peut poursuivre son rêve de servir les FAC et le MDN. Paul se consacre avec enthousiasme à son métier et sa vaste expertise ainsi que son expérience lui ont permis d’enseigner à des opérateurs hautement qualifiés qui servent les FAC. En tant que maître conducteur, il est bien connu dans la communauté des Cond MMS.
À sa demande, il a reçu son certificat de 35 ans de service des mains de deux de ses anciens confrères, l’Adjuc Tremblay (à gauche), SMR de la Branche et l’Adjuc Feeney (à droite), SMC du transport. Tous deux ont fait remarquer à quel point il a toujours l’air jeune même après 35 ans de service. Son dévouement, son professionnalisme et ses contributions aux FAC, au MDN et au Service royal de logistique du Canada sont sans pareils. Merci, Paul, pour ton service.
