Children had the opportunity to interact with, and give special coding instructions to Dash Robots at the Essa Public Library on 8 Feb.
Karly Bruce, Coordinator of Children and Family Experiences led the session where kids were able to drop in and interact with a robot named Dash.
Dash is a real robot for children that is responsive to its world – children were able to send Dash simple commands and codes that dictate the robot’s interactions such as moving, dancing, lighting up, making sounds, avoiding obstacles and even reacting to their voice.
This fun and interactive children’s programming is part of the Essa Library’s initiative to bring more children’s activities to the weekend. For more information on upcoming programs visit the Essa Library website.
