The Borden Golf Club is proud to announce the awarding of three golf scholarships for deserving high school students in the areas of tenacity, academics and athletics, or a combination thereof. The scholarship will allow the recipient to play for the 2023 season at the Borden Golf Club.
These scholarships are sponsored by the Collier family whose work in the community supports youth in sport, helping Simcoe County families.
Sapper Brian Collier was born in Toronto and raised in Bradford where he attended Holy Trinity High School before joining the Canadian Forces in 2007. A member of the 1 Combat Engineer Regiment based out of Edmonton, AB, Collier served with the Royal Canadian Regiment while stationed in Panjwa’I District of Afghanistan. Sapper Collier earned respect after surviving a blast from an explosive device returning to duty just weeks later. Unfortunately, a second detonation took Collier’s life while on foot patrol in Afghanistan. Mrs. Carol Collier, Brian’s mother, is CFB Borden’s Silver Cross Mother.

- Name of High School
- Grade attended in 2022/23 school year
- Why they should be awarded one of the scholarships, i.e., what makes you deserving?
