Military families at CFB Borden were treated to a free movie as part of a family movie day event at the Terra Theatre. The event was sponsored by BMO, who covered the cost to provide the first 75 people with free entry to Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on Saturday, 28 January. The lucky ones who were first in line also received a free popcorn and pop to enjoy during the show.

The surprises didn’t stop there. BMO also had some goodies to give away, including mini piggy banks.

“We were very happy to host an event that brought us closer to the Defence Community throughout the winter months,” said Matthew Doan, BMO Branch Manager. “We were thrilled to see it have such a great turnout with so many military families attend the show. It really gave us a great opportunity to have a captive audience to share a few words about the benefit of banking with BMO.”

More than 150 people from the community came out to the event, with the line wrapping around the building.

Even with more than 150 people in attendance, there was plenty of leg room at the spacious Terra Theatre! (Photo submitted)
