Looking for a way to stay active? PSP is looking for anyone interested in a variety of summer sports to get their summer league started. Sports include:
- Soccer
- Slo-pitch
- Beach volleyball
- Disc golf
- Ball hockey
Teams play no more than twice a week, some during the lunch hour but mostly in the evenings during the week, after work hours.
“It’s a great way to meet new people and introduce yourself to an interactive social environment,” said Chris Neri, Military Sports Coordinator with PSP, Borden.
Teams are open to DND, NPF, MFRC, DRDC and DCC staff, veterans and CAF members and their families over the age of 18 and living with their serving parent/guardian. Former NPF staff receiving a pension are also welcome to participate.
“Registration numbers for soccer, ball hockey and beach volleyball have been declining over the past few years,” said Neri. “We are hoping to see these sports regain their popularity this summer.”
Anyone interested in joining a team can contact Chris Neri at Chris.Neri@forces.gc.ca. All leagues kick off starting May 24, 2022. Don’t miss out on your chance to play!
