With the decrease in COVID-19 cases in our community and as the rollout of vaccinations continue, Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is reducing its COVID-19 Assessment Centre operation, returning to three days a week. Starting next week, the Centre will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
“We have been experiencing a decrease in appointments over the last few weeks,” says Jody Levac, President & CEO, SMH. “It makes sense for us to decrease our operation to three days per week, but we will continue to assess our hours of operation to best meet the needs of the community. The COVID-19 Assessment Centre will remain as long as our community needs it,” he adds.
Those seeking COVID-19 tests at SMH are able to book online at www.stevensonhospital.ca. Appointments can be booked up to 21 days in advance. Appointments can also be made by calling (249)501-0383 on operating days.
