Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) in partnership with community physicians is opening a COVID-19, Cold & Flu Clinic starting Wednesday, February 16, 2022. The Clinic is available for anyone who is experiencing mild to moderate or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 or flu who would like to receive in-person care. Local physicians and SMH nurses will staff the new Clinic.
“We’re really pleased to offer the COVID-19, Cold & Flu Clinic as a support to our community who may be experiencing symptoms,” says Dr. Matthew Myatt, Chief of Emergency, SMH. “Physicians and nurses will be available to provide timely access to care for patients at the Clinic, which will relieve some of the pressure our Emergency Department is experiencing in the hospital.”
Appointments are required to access the Clinic, which can be booked by calling (249) 501- 0383. The Clinic is located in the lower parking lot of the hospital at 200 Fletcher Crescent in Alliston and will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 -5 p.m. COVID-19 Testing will continue to take place separately at the COVID-19 Assessment Centre.
Upon arrival, patients are asked to remain in their vehicle and call the Clinic to inform staff of their arrival. For safety purposes, staff will inform the patient when they can enter.
