The holidays are here at CFB Borden and across the MPGTG Formation, and Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Wilcox and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work this year.
We are consistently impressed by the dedication that is displayed by members of our Defence team enabling CAF members in their respective trades and disciplines.
This has been another challenging year, which has required a dynamic approach to the workplace environment. The professionalism and tremendous work ethic displayed here in Borden and throughout the formation is inspiring. To all of you, we want to thank you for your continued efforts. As we focus more and more on reconstitution across the Defence team, know that it is through all of our combined efforts that we are able to make positive changes that help build an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
Let us take a moment to remind everyone that, for all the joy and happiness that the holidays can bring, for some it is a period of loneliness and isolation. If you are feeling isolated during this time, do not hesitate to reach out for help. There are resources available to you, including the Chaplaincy and your Chain of Command. Know that your welfare matters. For those who know someone who might be alone during this holiday season: reach out to them. Check in to make sure they are doing ok.
Take this time to recuperate, reconnect with loved ones, and enjoy the holidays.
