Annually in October, Military Family Services (MFS) with the collaboration of local Family Violence Advisory Teams, promotes and runs a Healthy Relationships Campaign. This year the campaign runs from 16 to 27 October.
This year, the campaign explores the topics of separation and divorce, as well as co-parenting after a relationship ends, and has the theme of “navigating and overcoming challenges, while seeking support”. To check out this year’s website, check out Healthy Relationship Campaign.
Relationships are not easy and typically requires some time and effort to keep them healthy and strong. Relationships are on a continuum and can fluctuate from one zone to the next. Add some sources of stress, such as a deployment or financial worries, and healthy and strong relationships can even start to struggle. For more information and to reflect on your relationship, check out the Intimate Relationships Continuum.
Locally, the Borden Family Violence Advisory Team is proud to be promoting the following events throughout the campaign:
- Virtual briefing: (un) Healthy Relationships; 24 October at 1130 and again at 1900
- Communication Course: Inter-Comm; 25 and 26 October
