Saturday/Sunday schedule (RAIN OR SHINE)

Schedule – Saturday, June 18

9:00 Gates open for activities, vendors, food trucks, static displays, demonstrations, music, and more.
Royal Canadian Air Force Band to play on Main Stage.
9:00 – 12:00

Helicopter rides.

9:00 – 5:00 Kiddie Comando Obstacle Course.
9:45 400 Squadron Pipes and Drums band to play along flight line.
10:00 CFB Borden Brass and Reed Band to play near the Main Stage.
10:30 – 11:30 Jaws of Life. Location: CFFCA display (Hangar 19).
11:00 Royal Canadian Air Force Band to play on Main Stage.
11:45 – 12:45 Jiffy Jeep. Location: RCEME School Exhibit.
12:00 CFB Borden Brass and Reed Band to play near the Main Stage.
1:00 Air Show performances begin.
5:00 Gates close.

Jaws of Life (10:30 – 11:30)
Demonstration by the Canadian Forces Fire and CBRN Academy, sponsored by Biosteel.

Jiffy Jeep (11:45 – 12:45)
The School of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (RCEME) Jiffy Jeep team completely takes apart and reassembles a 1960s Jeep in less than 3 minutes. 

Kiddie Comando Obstacle Course (9 – 5)
Make sure your kids have comfortable running shoes!

Helicopter rides (9 – 12)
For $80 get a bird’s eye view of Base Borden!

Brewfest craft beer competition
Purchase your Brewfest ticket online or on-site at the Brewfest Tent. For $10 (plus general admission), you’ll get to sample all five craft beers and receive a Brewfest Voting Passport to vote for your favourite! The winner will be featured on tap at CFB Borden Messes.

Not interested in voting? Entry to the Brewfest Tent is free, and pints, cans and spirits are also available for purchase. Must be 19+, valid photo ID required. Space is limited, tickets available while supplies last.

Static displays
Military aircraft including the CF-5 Freedom Fighter Jet, CH146 Griffon Helicopter, CT-114 Tutor and more, armoured vehicles, fire rescue apparatus and construction utility vehicles will be on display for you to get up close and personal. 

Historical displays
Check out vintage aircrafts inside the Air Force Annex of the Base Borden Military Museum 


What to bring

  • Non-perishable food donation for parking.
  • Soft coolers smaller than 2 gallons. Food and non-alcoholic beverages from home are allowed.
  • Your camera! Submit your best to the photo contest on the Borden Citizen Facebook page for a chance to win a $100 Henry’s gift card. 
  • Refillable water bottle (access to refilling stations on site)
  • Camp chair or blanket to sit on
  • Sunscreen, hat, rain poncho and umbrella (EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE)
  • Wagon (non-motorized)
  • Band aids
  • Comfortable running shoes, especially kids for the Kiddie Commando Course
  • Cannabis use is prohibited at the event. 
  • Please leave your pets at home. (Registered service animals are permitted).
  • Prohibited items are listed on the event website.
