The 2023 Barrie and Angus Santa Claus parades saw the faces of Borden’s very own Command Team at the front of both parades
On Saturday, 18 November, members of Borden’s surrounding communities were present for Santa Claus Parades in both Barrie and Angus featuring the Command Team atop a CFFCA fire truck float adorned by multicoloured Christmas lights, Santa hats and smiles from all.
The 2023 Angus Santa Claus parade travelled south on Mill St. towards CFB Borden and the 2023 Barrie parade traveled along Lakeshore Dr. West, turning onto Dunlop St. on route to Downtown Barrie.
Base Commander Colonel Michaud, Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Wilcox and Honorary Colonel Armstrong gave holiday greetings to residents and were one of the first floats in both parades. The fire truck was driven by Sergeant Sammuel Bordron who was accompanied by PAO Lieutenant(N) Nathan Felix.
At the tail of the celebration was Santa Claus himself pulled by reindeers in his sleigh. To watch back the best moments of the Barrie Santa Claus parade, click here. For a playback of the Angus Santa Claus parade, click here.
