Helicopter drills enhance training for future medical assistants

The QL 3 Medical Assistant Course currently underway at Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre (CFHSTC) was able to practice both static and live helicopter loading and unloading drills on 8 July in a surprise training exercise.

The flight crew, Maj. Rich Gough, Capt Simon Roy and Cpl Tyler Linington flew Search and Rescue (SAR) Techs Sgt Sebastien Gaudet and MCpl Dominic Allard to CFB Borden to support the training. Course candidates were thrilled to have this hands-on training opportunity with the CH-146 Griffon helicopter, and time with the SAR Techs to ask questions and learn from the personal experience of these professionals.
