Fall is here, and just as the seasons are changing, so to is our community here at CFB Borden. Living, working, and training at CFB Borden is something I want our members and their families to be excited about. The opportunities, resources, and community that the Base is working towards are about making everyone feel included and welcomed while they are in Borden.
To that end, I would like to introduce you to some of the Base initiatives that we are working on to help grow our community. From programs and resources being made available to all our members to get the most out of living in the area, to future plans for improving Wi-Fi access and new gym equipment at the Buell Gym, our team is working to find ways to elevate our community. By going to the following link, or scanning the QR code attached to the poster seen below, you can take a look at some of the different things we are doing to help build CFB Borden into a community that everyone can be proud of. Should you also have any recommendations, or a desire to be involved in some of these community-based initiatives, I highly encourage you to contact your Chain of Command or our Formation Master Corporal at Taylor.Moser@forces.gc.ca
In closing, I want to emphasize that it’s not just about achieving the mission – it’s about how we achieve it. While the initiatives that have been laid out represent a starting point, they do not end there. More is in the works, and more will be done to help make CFB Borden the best that it can be for our members, our co-workers, and our families.
