Two military police cruisers were needed to sustain the generosity of the Borden Community at the annual Fill-a-Cruiser event
Outside of the CANEX storefront on 16 November, two military cruisers were parked outside the entrance packed with food, toys and cash donations for the annual Fill-a-Cruiser charity event, hosted by the Military Police.
MPs stationed at the CANEX parking lot collected donations to support military families during the holiday season. The MPs want to graciously thank the community for the success of this year’s Fill-a-Cruiser event as both cruisers were filled to the brim with contributions from the Borden community.
Donations are distributed through the Seasonal Sharing Basket initiative, designed to alleviate the financial burden for families on the base, ensuring a special holiday for every child.
The officers outside of CANEX collected items such as toys, food, clothing, winter gear, and hygiene products, garnered just under $1,000 in cash, gift card and toy donations.
MPU Borden sincerely thanks the individuals who contributed, filling the cruiser with donated items to support their fellow members.
