Barrie Airshow returns June 10 & 11

The 2023 Barrie Airshow, a free, family-friendly event at Kempenfelt Bay is set to take place on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11.

Aviation enthusiasts and families alike will be able to enjoy an aerial display over the Barrie waterfront, as well as static displays, the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden Kiddie Commando obstacle course, and the Downtown Barrie BIA’s first Open Air Dunlop of the season, as well as live music and a screening of Top Gun: Maverick at Meridian Place.

Iconic Canadian aircraft and demonstration teams taking to the skies will include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron), the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team, a CF-18 tactical demonstration, and the Northern Stars Aeroteam.

The announcement was made by Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering (CFSATE) at CFB Borden, the birthplace of the Royal Canadian Air Force and a supporter of the 2023 Barrie Airshow, presented by Pratt Homes. Other supporters include the County of Simcoe, the Downtown Barrie BIA and event sponsors.
