Military Family Appreciation Day

Together We Stand established a nationally recognized day for Canadian military families through the introduction and passage of a Unanimous Consent Motion in the House of Commons on June 19th, 2019. Military Family Appreciation Day (MFAD) was created to celebrate, acknowledge and honor those who stand beside the uniform. The goal is to raise awareness not only of the challenges and sacrifices that military families face but also their resilience as they support their loved ones who are currently serving or have served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Military Family Appreciation Day is celebrated annually across Canada on the third Friday in September, and it is the first and only day in Canada dedicated to celebrating military families.

The Borden Family Resource Centre would like to invite Military families to enjoy a free family movie event on Friday September 15, 2023 at the Terra Theatre in celebration and recognition of families.
